Account & signing in

You can sign in to Katana with a one-time email code, with Sign in with Apple, or with Google. They all lead to the same account when they share a verified email address.

Premium & billing

Katana Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase, through the App Store.

Your data

Households

Katana Premium lets you share a household with up to five people. Invite members with a code from the Household screen; everyone contributes to the same plan. Buying Premium on one platform doesn't grant it on another — the person who purchased owns the entitlement.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Katana account (published by Shogun Ventures Limited) and its associated data at any time — right from inside the app.

Delete your account in the app

Open Katana and go to Profile → Security → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account. Deletion happens immediately and you're signed out — no email or waiting required.

Prefer email? If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from your account's email address (or tell us the account email and sign‑in method) with the subject "Delete my account." We'll verify it's your account and action verified requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted: your account and profile (name, email address, sign‑in credentials), all entries you've recorded (expenses, income, budgets, savings goals), any custom categories, and the personal household you own.

If you share a household: if you own a shared household with other members, deleting your account moves each other member back to their own space along with the entries they added, and the shared household is then removed. If you're a member of someone else's shared household, you're removed from it and the entries you added to that shared budget stay with the household for its other members.

What may be kept: a limited amount of information we're required to retain for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud‑prevention purposes (for example, records of purchases), kept only for the period required and in de‑identified form where practicable. Store subscriptions are managed by Google Play / Apple and are not cancelled by deleting your Katana account — cancel those in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

See our Privacy Policy for more on retention.
